Why Me

My passion for education also shaped my six years as a teacher in Broward and Orange County Public Schools. I worked to create a nurturing learning environment for students, particularly those from low-income backgrounds. That experience continues to inform my advocacy and fuels my commitment to youth development.
In the political realm, I am privileged to serve as the Chairwoman for Florida Rising in Miami-Dade County, leading efforts in civic engagement, voter education, and community organizing. I also serve as Vice President of the Miami-Dade Democratic Haitian Caucus,where I work tirelessly to amplify Haitian voices in the political process and increase our representation at every level.
In 2024, I organized the Haitian Solidarity Rally at North Miami City Hall, standing against xenophobic and racist remarks from political figures. This event not only showcased the resilience of our community but also demonstrated the power of collective action in theface of injustice. I am a proud Trustee Member of the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce of Florida, a Business Member of the National Association for the Advancement of Haitian Professionals, the Miami Shores Chambers of Commerce, the North Miami Chamber of Commerce and many more. Through these many roles, I foster connections between businesses and the community, driving growth and creating economic opportunities.
As I look to the future, I remain committed to progressively moving our community forward through inclusive, visionary leadership that uplifts every resident—no matter their background. I am here for our white, Black, brown, Latino, Caribbean, and all American neighbors who call this district home. I believe that our diversity is our greatest strength, and together we can build a future rooted in equity, opportunity, and dignity for all. My platform reflects a deep commitment to the needs of every corner of our community from job creation and affordable housing to climate resilience and quality education. With transparency, compassion, and courage, I will lead with a heart for the people and a vision for a better tomorrow where no one is left behind. Everything I do is driven by a belief in the power of education, advocacy, and leadership to transform lives. As I honor my father’s legacy, I remain dedicated to building a great and thriving community.
